I caught the scrapbooking bug when my oldest was born, since then I've been in the scrapbook industry one way or another. I've been a teacher and display artist and owned an on-line page kit business that evolved into our current brick and mortar store. I've been married to my sweet supportive husband, Chris, for 17 years. Together we have 4 wonderful children. Miranda is our oldest at 13 years old;. Samantha, aka Sami, is 10 .Jocelyn, or Jo, is 9 (and she will not let you forget it) and our youngest is Quintin at 6 years old. I am also a proud Aunt to 11 little nieces and nephews. The girls far out number the boys. When I'm not at the store or working on project for my customers, I enjoy spending time with our large family.

After 30 years as a secretary at Scott AFB, I enjoy the creativity outlet that stamping gives me. I feel lucky to join the Speedy Scrapper team.
When a friend invited me to a stamping party ten years ago, I went begrudgingly. But the stamping bug bit me and I’ve been making cards ever since. My mentor is 82 years old and she has a real artistic eye. My niece invited me to St Louis a couple of summers ago to lead some card making sessions for her 13 year old daughter and friends. It was a big hit. My family and friends say they treasure my hand-made cards and are keeping them, so I’ve been encouraged to keep stamping all these years.
The different folds, embossing and embellishments I’ve learned about from classes and craft magazines really add to a card and I can’t wait to share the methods with you.
My husband, also a Gene, and I have been married 41 years and have been blessed with two sons, a daughter-in-law and now a grandson, 22 months old. My daughter-in-law and my niece in St Peters MO are also involved in stamping. Both create great scrapbooking pages and cards. My other son’s girlfriend just made her first stamped card and says she’s looking forward to getting back to scrapbooking.
